Toxikk Patch #012 (Ginger Build v0.94)

Importantissimo aggiornamento che porta Toxikk alla versione 0.94. Manca davvero poco alla release finale!

Perchè importantissimo? Perchè oltre ai vari bugfix, è stato finalmente reso pubblico il tool per la creazione dei contenuti, sto parlando dell’ UDK (che prende il nome di SDKK essendo modificato per Toxikk)! Tutti i modder, e non solo, lo aspettavano e a poche ore dall’uscita già appaiono i primi contenuti degli utenti. GENERAL

This patch brings your v0.92 Ginger build up to v0.94. It’s quite a leap for the game as it introduces the SDKK, a customized UDK (Unreal Development Kit) build that we use to create TOXIKK. The tool is now available for our community, enabling everyone to create and contribute content. But that’s not all… the SDKK also comes with full Steam Workshop support. Find out more below.

NEW FEATURES

FTR_01 – SDKK – CREATE YOUR OWN CONTENT
V0.94 introduces the SDKK, a customized UDK (Unreal Development Kit) we use to create TOXIKK. Simply install it through your Steam client and start building your own content. Read the SDKK guide to learn all the details about how to create and upload Kustom Kontent.

FTR_02 – FULL STEAM WORKSHOP SUPPORT
SDKK offers full Steam Workshop supprt. The intuitive SDKK Workshop Uploader makes turning your TOXIKK content into genuine workshop items as easy as possible. All the details about how to use the SDKK tools and upload content to the Steam Workshop can be found in the SDKK guide.

FTR_03 – CREDITS SCROLLER
A scroller for the game credits was implemented and can be accessed from the main menu. Technical implementation only (doesn’t show the credits yet).

FTR_04 – NEW CHAT FEATURES
The chat in the spectator view and drone view was optimized. You can now select the channel you want to chat on (team, local, global). I.e. you no longer need to exit a match to respond to chat on the global channel and you’ll also no longer spam the chat accidentally after a match with “WWWWWWWWWW” as you need to choose a channel first.

FTR_05 – FULL MUSIC SYSTEM OVERHAUL
The in-game music system was modified to provide less music flip-flopping. A bunch of new audio tracks were also added to the music pool.

FTR_06 – MORE GAME MODES PER MAP
A couple of maps were modified to now also support Area Domination (AD). Try AD on Dekk, Twin Peaks, Ganesha etc… it’s crazy fun. :)

FTR_07 – WEAPON STAY & WEAPON STEAL MUTATORS
As per V0.94, all team-based game modes have weapon stay set to ON, while Bloodlust (and all future non-team based modes) have it set to OFF. If you want to toggle ON/OFF on whatever map either in Bootcamp or on your own server, you can use the WeaponStay and WeaponSteal mutators to change the default setting.

FTR_08 – THROW WEAPON
You can now press [X] (default key) to throw your weapon. This may come in handy in team games.

FTR_09 – DEVELOPMENT ON SSR REFLECTIONS FINALIZED
The work on advanced screen space reflections was finished. It’s now present in every map with reflective surfaces (also added to map Twin Peaks).

FTR_10 – WEAPON CUSTOMIZATIONS NOW STORED IN WEAPON.INI
All weapon specific HUD customizations are now stored in WEAPON.INI. Another change to the ini structure which means that you cannot carry over your previous customizations. However, this new system means that it shouldn’t get overwritten again (unless we do more changes to its structure… currently NOT planned).

FTR_11 – IMPROVED SPECTATOR VIEW
The spectator view was improved with many comfortable features. Use the mouse wheel to browse through the available cams or the left/right mouse buttons to instantly switch to objectives etc. Spectators were also added to the in-match scoreboard (but still designated as spectators).

FIXES

FIX_01 – WEAPON BAR
The weapon bar was a bit buggy in some situations. It showed the ammo pick-up animation when the original weapon was picked up and more issues like that. This shouldn’t happen any more. It also was scaled down a bit (to 80% of its original size) to take up less screen space.

FIX_02 – WRONG RANKS FOR BLUE TEAM MEMBERS
In team-based game modes, all ranks of the blue team members were wrong. This should now be fixed.

FIX_03 – WRONG ARMOR WAS SHOWN IN DRONE VIEW
When looking at other players via Drone View, a wrong armor value was displayed. This should no longer happen.

CHANGES

CHG_01 – CHANGED DEFAULT FOV
The default FOV setting was changed to 100 (from 90)

CHG_02 – MINIMUM HEALTH WARNING
The health warning was turned on (by default). It’ll now start to flash in red when your health goes below 25. But this can still be changed in the game options menu.

CHG_03 – HIT MARKER TURNED ON BY DEFAULT
Visual and audio hit markers are now turned on by default. But this can still be changed in the game options menu.

CHG_04 – GAME MODE: AREA DOMINATION RESPAWN DELAY
The respawn delay for the Area Domination game mode was set to seven seonds (same as on Cell Capture).

CHG_05 – CHARS IGNORED IN CHAT
“<” and “>” are now ignored in chat mode (to avoid tag abuse).

CHG_06 – DRONE VIEW INFO CHARTS NOW ANMIATED
The drone view info stuff now smoothly glides in.

    sono troppo in ritardo ormai, l’hype è scesa a livelli bassissimi, e i server sono deserti, non ci sono più di 8 persone online nel mondo….

        doveva uscire mesi fa se veniva rispettata la roadmap, chi doveva comprarlo lo ha già fatto.

        Spero di sbagliarmi, ma per me nasce morto.

        • Non dico che farà il botto (è un genere passato purtroppo), ma ci sono migliaia di giocatori che non stanno sul pezzo come noi e che non sanno nemmeno che esiste Toxikk, per questo bisogna aspettare il lancio. Per il ritardo cosa vogliamo dirgli quando oggi è uno standard rimandare le uscite, anzi io farei un plauso a Reakktor per il dettaglio tecnico raggiunto in cosi poco tempo considerando poi quanto è piccolo il loro team.
